I have a Bosch UM3. I bought it in the eighties. It has a plastic-type of bowl. It has been in storage and not used, Here is my question: When I turn on the machine both appliances are going at the same time. I don’t have a manual. How can I stop the blender from going when only using the mixer?

The blender drive and the bowl drive both turn whenever the mixer is on. If your model has the switch that requires something on the blender drive, and all you have is the blender, I’d suggest contacting a Bosch dealer for an appropriate cover. I’ve used Pleasant Hill Grain and the Bosch Kitchen Center in Sandy UT before.
